Service Description

Step beyond classroom learning and into realistic, assessor-led emergency scenarios with our Pre-Hospital Emergency Care CPD Scenario Day. This immersive training day is designed for responders who want to sharpen clinical decision-making, teamwork, and confidence under pressure. The entire day is dedicated to scenario-based learning, placing learners into dynamic, evolving incidents that reflect real-world pre-hospital and event medical environments. You will be observed, challenged, and supported by experienced paramedic assessors, with structured feedback throughout the day. Course Overview Duration: 1 Full Day Time: 09:00 – 17:00 Location: Edinburgh, including outdoor and simulated operational environments Suitable For: FREC 3, FREC 4, event medics, and first responders CPD Hours: 7 Hours This is not a classroom-based CPD day. Active participation is expected throughout. What You’ll Do Learners rotate through multiple high-fidelity medical and trauma scenarios, working individually and in teams. Scenarios are designed to test: • A–E patient assessment and prioritisation • Clinical decision-making under pressure • Communication, leadership, and teamwork • Safe, effective patient management Every scenario is observed by assessors, followed by structured debriefs focusing on strengths, learning points, and practical improvement. Realistic Scenario Training Scenarios may include medical collapses, trauma incidents, deteriorating patients, and multi-casualty situations. Live casualty roleplay, moulage, and environmental challenges such as noise, low light, and confined spaces are used to replicate real operational conditions. Why Choose Rescue Med? • Delivered by experienced frontline paramedics • Scenario-only format — no classroom theory • Small group sizes for meaningful feedback • Realistic environments reflecting operational work This CPD day is ideal for responders working in events, private medical services, or security-led medical roles who want to stay operationally sharp and confident. 🔹 Important Note 🔹 This CPD day supports professional development only. Learners must work within their qualification, employer policies, and clinical governance arrangements.
