FREC 3 Course – 2025 Updated Qualification Limited to 6 learners per course – Book early to secure your place Already an experienced responder? Fast-track your qualification with our QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) delivered through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This condensed 2-day course is designed for learners who have already completed advanced responder training with recognised organisations. Instead of repeating content you already know, this pathway allows you to demonstrate your competence, refresh your knowledge, and achieve a nationally recognised FREC 3 qualification in less time. Course Overview Duration: 2 Days Time: 09:00 – 17:00 daily Location: Rescue Med Academy - Midlothian Innovation Centre Roslin, EH25 9RE Class Size: Maximum of 6 learners per course for individual support and high engagement Who is eligible for FREC 3 RPL? This route is available if you hold one of the following qualifications: HMCG Coastguard Emergency Responder Casualty Care RNLI Casualty Care (Lifeboat Crew / Lifeguards) Mountain Rescue – Remote Rescue Medical Technician NHS Ambulance Service – Community First Responder (CFR) Police Enhanced First Aid Skills Lowland Rescue Casualty Care Cave Rescue Casualty Care Mines Rescue Casualty Care UK Armed Forces – Joint Team Medic Certificate EURIECA® Advanced First Aid (RCS Ed FPHC endorsed) Immediate Emergency Care – Advanced (RCS Ed FPHC endorsed) Why choose Rescue Med? All learners will need to submit their Record of Prior Learning evidence to Rescue Med via email (info@rescuemed.co.uk) and authorisation and approval by Qualsafe will need to be obtained prior to course commencement. Step 1 Purchase your place by booking directly through the booking portal here Step 2 Submit RPL documentation as requested by Rescue Med Step 3 Approval onto course confirmed Rescue Med reserves the right to reject a learner from starting the course if RPL evidence does not meet the criteria of Qualsafe approval and/or evidence is not submitted to Rescue Med in full and in a timely manner. If a learner is rejected, a admin charge of £100.00 will be retained.

Cancellation Policy
At Rescue Med, we understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as fair and transparent as possible while ensuring the smooth running of our courses. Cancellations 1 month or more before the course start date – full refund. Between 2–4 weeks before the course start date – 50% refund. Between 1–2 weeks before the course start date – 25% refund. Within 7 days of the course start date – no refund will be issued. Non-attendance (“no-shows”) – no refund. Refunds apply to course fees only. Any additional costs (e.g. travel, accommodation) remain the responsibility of the learner. Rescheduling Requests to reschedule made within 2 weeks of the course start date will incur a £150 administration fee. Learners must attend the full duration of the course to meet assessment and accreditation requirements. Provider Cancellations Rescue Med reserves the right to postpone or reschedule courses in order to meet operational or business needs. In the event of force majeure (e.g. severe weather, instructor illness, unforeseen incidents), Rescue Med will make every effort to accommodate affected learners. Where Rescue Med cancels or reschedules a course, no additional fees will be charged, and learners will be offered either a full refund or transfer to an alternative course date.
