Responder+ Terms & Conditions and Community Code of Conduct

Responder+ is a peer-led professional development network providing CPD opportunities, case-based learning, and community support for first responders and pre-hospital care professionals. Participation in the Responder+ platform, including its associated WhatsApp community, live sessions, and digital materials, is subject to the following Terms & Conditions and Community Guidelines.

By joining Responder+, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Eligibility and Participation
Responder+ is designed to support individuals actively working in, studying for, or progressing through qualifications in pre-hospital care, such as FREC 3, FREC 4, or equivalent.

1.1 Individual Membership Only
Membership is open to individual practitioners only. At this time, individuals who own, operate, or manage private event medical services companies are not eligible for membership.
This policy exists to:

Prevent conflicts of interest

Protect the integrity and privacy of shared peer experiences

Encourage open discussion and learning without competitive or commercial influence

Preserve the platform’s individual learning-focused ethos
If you are involved in the ownership or management of a private medical firm and are unsure if this policy applies to you, please contact us before attempting to register or join.

2. Code of Conduct
To maintain a respectful, professional, and constructive environment, all members are expected to adhere to the following conduct guidelines:

Engage respectfully with all members regardless of background, experience, or qualification

Use appropriate, professional language at all times
-
Focus contributions on clinical practice, CPD, education, or support relevant to pre-hospital care
-
Refrain from hostile, aggressive, discriminatory, or defamatory remarks
Violations of these expectations may result in temporary or permanent removal from the platform.
3. Confidentiality and Professional Standards

Members must not share patient-identifiable information under any circumstances
-
Case discussions should be anonymised and used solely for educational purposes
-
Screenshots, recordings, or redistributions of community discussions or shared resources are strictly prohibited without explicit permission from the content originator and/or Responder+ administrators
Responder+ promotes a safe space for learning and reflection. Breaches of confidentiality may lead to immediate removal and, where applicable, referral to a relevant professional body.

4. Use of Shared Content and Intellectual Property
All educational content, downloadable resources, and recorded materials provided through Responder+ are the intellectual property of Responder+ or the respective contributors.
You may not:

Reproduce, distribute, or sell any Responder+ materials

Use content for commercial purposes without written consent

Claim credit for or republish original resources shared within the community

5. Promotion and Advertising
Responder+ maintains a strict no unsolicited promotion policy. Members may not post:

External courses, products, or services
-
Recruitment adverts
-
Commercial events or job postings
Exceptions may be made only with written approval from the Responder+ team and are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

6. Removal from the Platform
Responder+ reserves the right to remove any member without prior notice for violations of these terms, including:

Breach of confidentiality
-
Failure to comply with conduct expectations
-
Attempts to solicit business or recruit within the community
-
Misrepresentation of eligibility criteria
In serious cases, Responder+ may retain the right to refer breaches to relevant regulatory bodies or professional associations where appropriate.

7. Agreement to Terms
By submitting your application to join Responder+ or by participating in any of its communities, online groups, sessions, or learning activities, you confirm that:

You are participating as an individual for your own professional development

You are not acting on behalf of or representing any commercial event medical organisation
-
You understand and agree to abide by the terms and expectations outlined above
